Jupiter and
Venus in Conjunction
On the
morning of August 18th for early morning risers there will be a
chance to see the two brightest planets next to each other in the sky. Jupiter
and Venus are said to be in conjunction which means they appear to be next to
each other in the sky. In reality of course they are many millions of miles
apart.
The best time to see this conjunction will be
at about 5.00 am and you will need a clear eastern horizon as both planets will
appear low in the sky.
